H I S T O R Y

Once upon a time a noble fucked a whore and never showed his face in town again. The whore discovered she was pregnant, and nine months later she gave birth to a boy, named him Seth, and two months later, dumped him with her brother and never saw the kid again.

Her brother was a killer-- an assassin-- a thief, an occasional rapist and at the same time, a scholar. Seth was raised to not care about people, how to slit someone's throat in the dark and not give a shit, take what he needed from whoever he wanted-- take whoever he wanted. He learned to form his letters perfectly, learned how to add and subtract, multiply and divide though he never saw any use for it, and discovered a talent for speaking in tongues, though he never particularly cared for things like that.

His uncle fell ill when he was fifteen, and died to a knife in the throat a year later. Seth claimed his name, and after a large amount of tests and "proving his worth", he took his uncle's place in the guild. Then, after four years, he was initiated into the guild's Court of Angels, a division for the higher paid, the more talented, and threw away his uncle's name to take on a new one.

He's twenty-seven, now, and the name "Seth" has little meaning to him-- it's only an identity, after all, and he hasn't been that boy for years and years.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Seth-- rather, Uriel, could not possibly care less. He's very immoral, extremely rude, needlessly blunt, obnoxiously ... obnoxious and a complete dick. It's good for him that some people manage to find this attractive. He has a habit of following his "victims" around for weeks before killing them, if he has the time, claiming it's more fun if he can get them to like him.

Seth is all about fun, really, usually only taking a small job if it sounds amusing and often turning down important ones because they seem dull, stubbornly forcing it onto someone else instead. His reputation has been rather rocky for a few months because of this, but when he does take a job, he does it very well, and he remains in high demand. He doesn't particularly care, though, as long as the name "Uriel" remains notorious and feared enough. I mean, it just wouldn't be fun if they didn't know who he was, right?

A P P E A R A N C E

Seth's hair is a fire red, spiked and resembling the shape of a hedgehog. He's very tall, slim but built, and is handsome in a devilish sort of way. He has bright green eyes and strange markings on both his cheeks. He smiles a lot, but it's rarely ever genuine or kind.
